Meat Man Marketing

Meat Man Marketing was founded in 2022 by the husband and wife team of Caleb and Bella Tichon, but the roots that sprouted this oak go way deeper.

 

In the midst of the pandemic, the then collegiate couple realized their paths as marketing professionals through the guidance of their closest friend by turning marketing into a hobby by way of establishing their first brand. Little to no opportunities for professional growth were available, so our founders had to take matters into their own hands by building up a portfolio and garnering work experiences for themselves. This is where their drive to become the best versions of themselves began.

As time went on, they had become more established professionals, working in various marketing roles across a broad spectrum of industries. The couple would move to St. Petersburg Florida with their 2 cats, Alfie and Pinot, and were married that September. While living down south, they began to recognize the value to be had in supporting small businesses and the opportunities they present for the hardworking people behind the scenes. So much so, Caleb (a.k.a. The Meat Man) left an agency with multi-million dollar clients on the NYSE, to pursue an opportunity to guide the marketing strategy for 3 local small businesses.

WHY?

We believe there is something special about small businesses and it starts with the people who own and operate them (you)! It takes the right kind of crazy to make that leap of faith, and we like crazy. We strive to work with people who are so ready to bet on themselves that they have left their jobs or are willing to work the hours necessary after working a full 8-hour shift. We know your business is your baby; it's a lot of work, but a labor of love with limitless possibility. When it comes to marketing, there's nothing more fun or exciting than small businesses. These are the breeding grounds of experimental marketing strategy, because you are the author of the book! Creativity is everything and when the goal is to stand out from the crowd, the more off the wall and fun you have doing it are what brings on the attention you want as a small business owner. That's why Meat Man Marketing is all about small businesses helping small businesses.

So why is it called Meat Man Marketing?

​

There's honestly no good answer, and the truth is rather disappointing. It all began in 2021 when our founder, Caleb, made it his personal mission the become a connoisseur and expert chef of everything meat. This drive transcended reality itself, culminating in his friends giving him the moniker of "The Mean Man." Mugs, aprons, gamertags, and usernames weren't safe from donning the "Meat Man" moniker. So in 2022, when thinking of what to call this marketing business, there was really only one option...

Caleb is the co-founder of Meat Man Marketing.

 

He currently holds the title of Digital Engagement Manager for a well-known classical music act and venue in "dahntahn" Pittsburgh, PA.

​

Caleb attended Duquesne University's AACSB accredited Palumbo-Donahue School of Business. His professional journey began in the sports industry, working for some of Pittsburgh's most respected and recognizable teams. After moving to St. Petersburg, FL, he began working at a marketing agency with clients in big pharma, natural gas, and restaurant industries. Following this, Caleb moved on to Icaro Corp., holding the title of Marketing Manager. While there, he was the lead marketing strategist and content creator for their family of companies until moving with his wife back home to Pittsburgh.

​

Today, Caleb spends his time outside of his day job developing this agency, volunteering for local non-profits, traveling, and connecting with nature in the form of fishing, hiking, and alligator wrestling.

Bella is the co-founder of Meat Man Marketing.

​

She works as a Marketing Specialist for an industry-leading group purchasing organization (GPO) serving a membership base of healthcare organizations nationwide.

​

Bella attended the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh and graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Communications and a certificate in Public & Professional Writing. While a student at Pitt, she worked as a journalist for the Pitt News covering local cultural events. Leading up to her graduation, she worked as a Marketing Intern for Foxblossom Co., a small gift boxing business in Pittsburgh.

​

In her free time, Bella is always planning her next adventure, whether it's an international excursion or a state park hike. When she's at home, she enjoys spending time with her cats and planning new home renovation projects.

Angelina is the current Marketing Intern for Meat Man Marketing, and well on her way to earning a full-time role.

​

She is in the process of completing her Communications degree from the University of Pittsburgh Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences and expects to graduate summa cum laude with a Communications degree in the Spring of 2024. Angelina currently works in the Pitt Global Experiences Office as a Student Ambassador advising other students who are interested in studying abroad.

 

When she's not a student or intern, Angelina likes hanging out with her friends, reviewing movies (even black & white movies in Italian), and thrift shopping!
